General Instructions for Your Poster

Poster size should be A0 (84,1 cm width and 118,9 cm high, according to the image below). Please, do not exceed these dimensions.

Suggestions

• Avoid putting too much text on the poster. Visual elements (figures, graphs, diagrams) should dominate;
• Use a light colour background and dark colour letters for contrast. Avoid overly bright colours;
• The poster must be easily readable from 2 m distance. The title should be 100 pt, font size the text on the poster at least 36 pt;
• Place your most important information on the top or middle of the poster, not on the bottom where most people cannot easily read it;
• The objectives of the study, research questions or the hypothesis should be clearly stated in as few words as possible;
• Methods should be as short and general as possible;
• Results should be presented preferably as figures, graphs, tables, etc. They should be self-explanatory and include well-worded and concise legends. Providing an interpretation of the results below each image helps the reader understand what the 'take home message' of the image is;
• The conclusions should be succinctly stated on large type fonts. Hence the main conclusions should be easy to locate and easy to understand;
• If you do not want people photographing your poster in order to protect your privacy and research, please include this image in your poster, and ensure it will be clearly visible at the top of your poster;

General Instructions for Your Talk Presentation

• Talks should be 12 minutes long, leaving 3 minutes for discussion.
• Please, provide your presentation at least the day before to Local Organizing Committee, personally or via e-mail (cbe7brazil@gmail.com) with the Title: CBE7_OralPresentation_NAME_OF_THE_CORRESPONDING_AUTHOR.
• There will be a PC and Mac computer available for presenting your talk with the latest version of Keynotes, Powerpoint and Microsoft Office.
• For security, please send the presentation in both format ( .pptx and .pdf).
